Spend an evening with professor, author and American historian Heather Cox Richardson. This is a very special invitation to enjoy an intimate evening of conversation with Richardson.
Heather will be in conversation with Neil Chase, CEO of CalMatters, the statewide news organization covering California policy and politics.
Heather Cox Richardson has authored seven books on history and politics. In 2019, Richardson started publishing Letters from an American, a nightly newsletter that chronicles current events in the larger context of American history. Richardson focuses on the health of American democracy. The newsletter accrued over one million subscribers, making her, as of December 2020, the most successful individual author of a paid publication on Substack.

Neil Chase was formerly Executive Editor at the East Bay Times and The Mercury News, where his team won the 2017 Pulitzer Prize for its coverage of the tragic Ghost Ship fire in Oakland. Neil has also worked as a journalist at the San Francisco Examiner, Arizona Republic, CBS MarketWatch and The New York Times and was on the faculty at Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism.
